Crickhollow

£50.00

Crickhollow cottage was found in the village of the same name in Buckland, just east of Bucklebury Ferry.  It had been built by the Brandybuck’s a long time ago as a guest house for members of the family who wished to escape the crowded life in nearby Brandy Hall, and was actually a house made to look like a Hobbit-hole. Merry’s connections as a Brandybuck assisted in the purchase of this neat little cottage, and he and Fredegar (Fatty) Bolger prepared it for the arrival of their friends who were leaving the Shire.  It was also here that Fatty Bolger pretended to be Frodo Baggins, and so helped his friends escape from the Black Riders who were after them, Fatty was a stout-hearted fellow!
